ARTISTRY PIANO · THE DETAILS

A clearer connection to the keyboard

Artistry Piano is an independent library of piano chord and scale references, built to connect musical patterns with the keys in front of you.

What you will find here

Each reference pairs an interval formula and spelled note names with keyboard diagrams, synthesized playback and downloadable PDF, SVG, MIDI and JSON files. Our learning guides explain how to use these references in practical, focused practice.

How the references are made

We maintain an explicit set of chord and scale formulas. Software transposes each formula to the twelve roots, spells the notes by degree and renders the diagrams and files. Automated checks compare pitch classes, MIDI events, download links and the publication boundary. These checks verify consistency; they are not a claim of independent expert review or a graded curriculum.

AI-assisted practice lessons

Some references include supplemental practice text drafted with Claude Haiku. The supplied notes and formulas come from our reference data, and automated checks validate the returned structure and echoed reference facts. These checks do not independently verify every sentence or replace an experienced teacher’s review. Generated text never controls the notes, diagrams or pitch evaluation in the trainer.

What a diagram means

A diagram identifies notes and their placement in a register. It does not prescribe fingering or establish a difficulty grade. Extended chords may span more than one hand. Scale names can have different conventions across traditions; the displayed interval formula identifies the collection used here.

Publication and corrections

New references are released in limited batches. Unpublished entries are excluded from the public build. Dates record publication rather than a cosmetic daily refresh. We correct errors when found and welcome specific reports naming the reference, note or file concerned.

An independent project

This library is a new, independent project. It is not affiliated with the former Artistry at the Piano publisher, its authors or its products. Historic books, branding and recordings have not been reproduced in this library.
